Russell Holder: hmmmmmm... interesting... the Days Inn Palm Coast is currently sold out for those dates... *IF* I say to go ahead and cancel the reservation I have, then can you (quickly) book me for March 10 checkin/March 12 checkout before it gets rebooked by some other service???
Wren: I am truly sorry Russel we are unable to make new reservation in our end. If I cancel it will be important for you to make a new reservation online. The good thing is that as long as you contact us before noon on Tuesday, March 8th local hotel time we can still offer you a refund, you can take your time if you need.
Wren: Should I leave the reservation as it is for the moment?
Russell Holder: I'm thinking cancel at this point... will I receive an email confirmation of the cancellation and a $420.36 refund back to my credit card?... do you need my credit card number?
Wren: Yes, exactly like that, once I cancel the refund will go back to the original form of payment.
Russell Holder: and I get an email confirmation?
Wren: Yes you will. If I cancel your reservation right now, a refund in the amount of 420.36 USD will be credited back to the original form of payment used when you submitted your request. This equates to a refund of your original purchase price. Once I cancel your request, your reservation cannot be used. Do I have your permission to cancel?
Russell Holder: ok Wren, please go ahead with the cancellation... I had hoped that a day could be dropped off of the reservation, but, tis not so... thank you very much for your help... any idea how long it might be before I could re-book for the 10-12March dates through Priceline.com?"
Wren: You can always rebook at any time. Availability is constantly changing if you do not see the hotel at this moment I can suggest you to go back after the weekend, or call the hotel directly to ask if they have available rooms.
